"Unfortunately, a search can not start until she has been missing for 48 hours."

Allie rolled her eyes. Typical. She'd have to wait another day.

"She was last seen by Elm Street in the lower part of town, if anybody sees anything, please notify the police."

Allie sighed. There was no use waiting to be helped. She tried to stand up and fell and hit her head, leaving her curled up on the ground unconscious.

"And in later news, the largest haybale in the world has been attacked by..." the voice faded from her mind.

(Lots to build on...)
Allie remained unconscious until Crane got home.

After work, Dr. Crane went to a favorite coffee shop of his to look at his notes. He had discovered that his patient, Finklestien, was deathly afraid of skiing. He had tried to draw the 'why' out of him, but had failed when Finklestien's eyes went glassy as his terror consumed him. He'd just have to wait for next week. That was when he remembered Moss, back at his house. He sighed slightly as he stood up and left, taking his time.
When he got back to his house, he gave a half-start when he saw she wasn't in the chair anymore. But after a split second he saw her lying on the ground, unconscious with a bruise forming on her head. Crane hissed to himself in anger. That stupid girl had tried to leave! And he himself had just left her there! He stormed over and turned off the radio, yanking Allie up, though she remained unconscious, and threw her back on the chair. Then he waited for her to wake up.

(Finkelstein!)
Allie blinked. The last thing she remembered was trying to leave. "Wah...?" she asked dazedly.

Crane was in front of her suddenly, wearing the burlap scarecrow mask over his head. Cold anger sparkling in his silver-blue eyes.

Allie stared at him grimly, knowing what was going to happen, and knowing that she couldn't stop him.

Scarecrow hissed in her face and leaned forward. "Trying to get away?" he asked coldly.

"Ah!" Allie yelled. She glared at him and cowered away at the same time.
(I randomly thought of Midnight...)

(I love Midnight!)
"You do NOT ever try that again," Scarecrow hissed, pointing a finger in front of her face. "You got that, actress?"
