Cate looked surreptitiously through the peephole and saw Ash. She opened the door.
"shiitake mushrooms," she said, when she saw Aleenya looking frighteningly bloody. "Here, come in. Joker, kindly get off the couch, we need it."

"Aaaaah, she can walk it off," The Joker called, shoving at the air with his hands.
Ash stuck her tongue out at him and carried Aleenya over to a chair near the one Crane had inhabited, not willing to waste time fighting with the Joker. Crane gave an annoyed huff at the sight of Aleenya and stood up, "This is why I decided to hold off on playing hero. What kind of medical supplies do you have here, Hunter?"

"Not a ton," Cate said, looking worried. She ran off to a closet and came up with a medium-quality first-aid kit. "Do you... can you help her?"
Aleenya tried to act stoic, but in reality she was hurting a lot. Every time she moved she accidentally let out a little groan of pain.

"More than she can," Crane muttered with a rude head twitch towards Ash as he took the first-aid kit and went to help. "Move. And get a bowl of clean water." Ash was more obliging than she normally would have been, and brushed her hand against Aleenya's shoulder before rushing off to do so.

Cate hovered nearby, trying to think what she could do that would be useful. In the background, the television was still blaring the news.
"Police are currently searching for Scarlett Jaide. They have not found her, nor have they found her mercenary officers."

"You guys didn't even do your job!" The Joker whined. "She's still alive!"
Crane grimaced, looking at the rough bandages on Aleenya's leg. "You need to be lying down. Table or floor?"

"Go with the table," Cate said. "I don't want stains on my carpet, I'll have to pay for it." She quickly dumped the contents of the dining room table onto the floor.
"Yeah, whatever," Aleenya mumbled, not entirely coherent.

Ash returned with the water just in time to help Crane bring Aleenya over to the table. "Scissors, and a bowl of that peroxide," Crane commanded to Cate and Ash in turn as he began unwrapping the rough bandages around her leg with a grimace.

Cate ran for some scissors while Ash poured out the peroxide. In the background, the news report announced, "In the meantime, several ambulances are on the way to the police department to deal with the many injuries received during the fight."

"I feel IGNORED," the Joker called. He was ignored.
"Ice pack, needle and thread," Crane said when Cate returned, taking the scissors and carefully cutting the cloth away from Aleenya's injury. Ash began reassuringly brushing at Aleenya's hair and face after she found an ice pack for Crane, which he put under Aleenya's smashed hand (which probably hurt her quite a bit, but hey).

"You're being really nice," Aleenya mumbled to Crane. "It doesn't make any sense."

"Don't worry, it's just to see this," Crane muttered, dipping a cloth in the water Ash brought over, and pouring a decent stream of water over the open, but not bleeding wound. Necessary, yes, but also painful.

"Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck you," Aleenya sang in a strangely high-pitched voice.

"I'd rather not," Crane answered, tending to cleaning out the wound more thoroughly, which definitely continued to hurt. He put the needle and thread from Cate in the bowl of peroxide, and began muttering under his breath about the stupidity of her and Sheridan and his usual complaining.

Cate went over to Ash and reached out for her hand. "Waiting is hard," she murmured, quietly enough that Crane couldn't hear. "And I don't even really know, or, well, like her."
