The building is a multilevel one. The floors are white laminate and the lights are bright. As far as people know, nothing is there. Nobody knows why it exists.

Scarlett's jaw was clenched as she looked at the women in front of her. Her phone rested carefully in her hands.

"You still haven't told us who you are," Cate snapped, her voice slightly hoarse. "Why are we here?"

Izzy watched Scarlett unhappily, knowing whatever the reason, it couldn't be good.

Scarlett looked at them and flipped open the phone, dialing a number. "This is why," she said. The phone rang.
Back at her house, Ash heard her phone ring. She ran to it and picked it up as fast as she could. "Yes?" she asked urgently.
"Ash* Sheridan," Scarlett answered her.

"What..." Cate said, her voice confused.

"Ash, whatever she wants, don't give in. We're not worth it." Izzy whispered painfully.

"Who are you?" Ash asked suspiciously.
"I am Lt. Scarlett Jaide," Scarlett introduced. "And you must listen to what I say."
"I'm listening, cop," Ash said darkly. She knew this was bad.
"I have your friends here," Scarlett said. Ash's stomach clenched. "And I will kill them if you don't do what I say."
"And what's that?" Ash asked through clenched teeth.

"And what are you saying?" Cate asked quietly, not hearing the whole conversation because the phone wasn't on speaker.

Izzy listened grimly, knowing they were in for some serious discomfort in the near future.

Ash's jaw clenched. "I'm listening."
"You will turn yourself in to me, here, within three days, or your friends will die," Scarlett bargained coldly.
Ash hissed without any words. "How do I know that you have them?" she asked angrily. She already knew, but she clung onto the little shred of hope she wished she had.
Scarlett raised an eyebrow though Ash couldn't see. "Here," she said, to all three women. She held the phone up in between the two bound captives, on speaker. As she bent down the gun attached to her belt became visible.

Cate closed her eyes briefly, but she stayed silent. There was the small part of her that saw what Ash was, but she ignored it for the moment. No words escaped her mouth.

"Ash, it doesn't matter if we're here or not. Don't let her win!" Izzy yelled frantically.

Ash's hope died. She could barely talk. "Izzy..." she murmured quietly.
Scarlett smirked, leaving the phone where it was.

Cate looked Scarlett in the eyes, wishing she could do something other than not talk to make a difference.
