Since they're all on the run, this thread will be the generic large amount of rest stops, safe houses, and warehouses that Crane, Aleenya, and Ash will be trying to reside in before they're found and chased out of them. (Which I think should happen frequently-ish.)
So, in this case, they're about to arrive somewhere, that Aleenya will describe and point out:

Everyone-- Ash, Crane, Aleenya, Izzy, and Cate-- had run off to an abandoned warehouse after the tragedy of Ash's stolen house.
Aleenya walked up to where Ash sat against a wall and sat down beside her. She wiped a few strands of blue hair out of her eyes.
"How's it going?" she asked quietly.

It took Ash a while to respond, and when she did, it was simply a small shrug.

"I don't want to ask if you're okay, because you're not." Aleenya was silent for a moment, staring off into the distance. Cate and Izzy were sitting together in a corner, and Crane was off by himself. "Of course you're not. Neither am I, but... you've been a lot longer. I just. I don't know, I'm rambling. I just want to help you if I can, because you've been here for me lately, when I needed it." She paused again. "And tell me to go away if you want me to."

Ash wasn't sure whether she intended to nod or shake her head, and so did not really move it all that much. The level of terror, and indecision she felt was confusing and sudden.. she was unsure of really anything to do besides just existing. All she really was able to be sure of was that there were tears coming back to her eyes, and she wanted Aleenya to stay. She tried to wipe the tears before they left her eyes.

"I can leave," Aleenya repeated, reaching for Ash's hand. "But I... I like to think that even without the house, at least being together we have some kind of home." She stared off at the wall. "That sounds really cheesy, doesn't it. Just ignore me."

Ash leaned over and hid her face in Aleenya's shoulder to hide the tears that she now couldn't hold back. She knew Aleenya was right, but still felt so hopeless, and useless-- all she could do was rely on the others. She had nothing to give anymore. She clutched at Aleenya's hand with both of hers.

"Ash," Aleenya whispered, "please say something."

"I love you," was the only thing Ash could think to say, so it was what was quietly whispered back. She began to tremble involuntarily when she processed her own words.

"Same," Aleenya said. "I mean, I love you too. But I want to know if there's anything I can do to make sure you're okay?"

Ash shook her head slowly, still clutching Aleenya's hand. "I don't know.." her voice cracked as she spoke.

"I'll just sit here for now, then," Aleenya murmured. She looked around the warehouse. It was one big room, with wooden floors and concrete walls. She didn't know what it had been used for, but it had been abandoned for a good ten years.
Something about helping Ash strengthened her. She couldn't tell if that was a good thing or not. Did she need Ash to be in pain to be strong? Or did it just mean that she cared, for once?

"Thank you.." Ash whispered, again falling to tears. She wished she understood what she felt. Currently, it was too strong for her to understand any of it, other than she just wanted it all to stop.

"Yeah," Aleenya said. "Of course."
She didn't know what Ash was feeling right now, but it reminded her of her younger self. After she ran away from home. After Jason died. After Allie turned her in. After all those days of waiting for her family to visit in the asylum, and all those days when they didn't come. That night she'd tried to drive off the bridge and kill herself.
She wrapped an arm around Ash and held her.

And Ash criiiiiiied and criiiiiiiiied and stuff. "What do you think is going to happen to Acrobat?" she asked quietly, another type of fear altogether jerking through her.
