"What?!" Ash squeaked, instinctively jumping away. While at the same time Crane just said "Impossible" while scowling. "Hey! Don't take the blankets, I'm still cold!" Haymich whined again. "I don't get what yer all so excited 'bout all of a sudden."

Aleenya looked at Ash, faintly amused.

"Whaaaaat're you all talkin' about?" Haymich whined, pulling the blankets closer, which caused Ash to sit next to him again. He was glad for the warmth.
"There's no way," Crane said firmly, crossing his arms. "Someone with that technology does not almost die from sleeping outside in the rain."

Aleenya frowned, ignoring Haymich. "That's a good point. But maybe this is an act?"

"I refuse to believe that anyone other than an idiot would die for an act," Crane rebutted.
"Fine, don't mind me I'll just sit here dying," Haymich whined again. "No respect for elders these days, I tell ya."

Aleenya raised her hands. "I give up. I'm making dinner." She rummaged through their stuff for a few boxes of mac and cheese.

"Will ya tell me what yer all talkin' about now?" Haymich asked petulantly.

Aleenya heated up water from a water jug on a camp stove near the open window, as the abandoned hotel had no water or electricity.

Haymich looked frustrated, and like he was about to say something equally annoying before Ash spoke. "Someone's been leaving us messages," she explained quietly.
"And stalking us," Crane added, with a pointed glare at him.
Haymich narrowed his eyes right back at Crane, with exaggerated scrutiny. "Jus' what're you implying, here, darlin'?" Ash tried not to laugh as Crane nearly choked.

Aleenya stared at the pot, waiting for it to boil.

(WOW SHE'S REALLY NOT INVOLVING HERSELF IN THIS.)
"You.. haven't been talking to us through any TV's or anything, have you?" Ash asked carefully.
"Oh! I geddit now!" Haymich exclaimed.

The water grew warm.

"Nah," Haymich finished his dramatic exclamation. "But someone's been doin' that in all the places bein' raided lately." He huddled under the blanket some more. "I was saved by 'em third time tonight."
Apparently that was all Crane needed as proof, because his disinterested look returned.

"Yeah, I no longer think it's him," Aleenya said, as the water began to boil. It wasn't really ready yet but she poured the noodles in anyway.

Ash sighed in relief.
"So what, they talked to ya personally?" Haymich questioned. "People're talkin' about it all over. Someone's ruinin' almost all o' Jaide's attacks."
