"Almost all of them?" Aleenya asked. "What else have they done? The person-- Calculator, they called themselves-- helped us escape from somewhere."

"I mean," Haymich rubbed at his arms for a second, "people've been warned in all the shadier bars 'n stuff. Jaide's been targeting old mobsters when she's stuck not finding ya, an' they've been getting a warning now too. Packin' up their families and goin' on the run." He began combing through his wet hair looking thoughtful. "My guess is that the reason ya haven't been attacked here yet is cause this Calculator or whatever is gettin' in her way somehow."

"What the fragdaggle," Aleenya mumbled. She tasted a noodle to see if it was done-- it was most definitely not-- and nearly burned herself.

Ash grimaced. "She's taking this out on normal people too, then," she commented. "I liked it better when we were the scary ones."
Crane crossed his arms, scowling. "I still don't like this Calculator person," he said, ever annoying. "They're obviously rubbing in our inability to fight Jaide on our own."

Aleenya looked at him. "Come on, Crane," she said. "We need all the help we can get. Look at us." She gestured to the mac and cheese on the camp stove.

"Now you're rubbing it in too," Crane muttered sullenly.
"Maybe this Calculator's decided to take out Jaide without ya," Haymich pointed out.

Aleenya tasted another noodle. It was deliciously al dente. She went into the bathroom and strained the noodles (using the pot lid) into the bathtub, and then mixed in the ingredients of deliciousness. She then went back into the main room.
"The mac and cheese is done," she announced to no one in particular.

Soon, they all had steaming bowls of cheap mac n cheese. Haymich was very grateful for the warmth that brought back, and for Sheridan suggesting he use the blanket for the night. She really was a lot less scary than the stories.
(I have no idea. We can basically end this scene soon, if you want to add anything. I'm going to have Haymich basically leave in the middle of the night.)

Aleenya pulled her solitary book from one of their packs and started to read.
Such went the day. Eventually they slept.

Yay sleeping.
Haymich, though he appreciated the assistance, did not feel comfortable staying with the three most wanted criminals in the city, for obvious reasons. In the middle of the night, after he had rested, the rain had stopped, and he felt somewhat warm inside, he braved the cold outside. It was worth it to haunt one of the old hideouts, if only to survive the next few, cold days. Maybe sleeping on benches wasn't such a great idea this time of year.
Ash watched him leave with one eye open, but did not say anything. She just huddled closer to Aleenya.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The trio was still wonderfully bored. So bored that even Crane was getting restless. He complained nearly every hour about them, Calculator, Haymich, or Scarlett. Anything really. Ash was getting so bored that she was getting mopey again, though she began to snap at Crane much more. And Aleenya had finished her book several times, so had to read a random journal she found laying around. (Look at me taking over your character. Sorry.)
But their current monotonous lifestyle soon became less so, as the broken television flickered to life. "Hey," a voice came from it this time. It was sharp, and deep sounding, and rather than the blaring white of text, a silhouette appeared, barely visible, and only slightly defined by blue lights from the screens surrounding him. "Wake up."
"It's God, saving us from this boredom!" Aleenya exclaimed, and then frowned. "Probably to send us to hella У೦o○೦o○o."
"...Yeah. Okay." The Calculator responded after a second. "Jaide's getting jumpy."
Ash only blinked at the screen in response, while Crane growled, "You've finally deigned to show yourself?"
"Where's Gordon?" Aleenya asked, dropping the melodrama.
"With Jaide, in a sense," the Calculator answered. "Hidden inside the police department."
"Perfect," Crane muttered to no one in particular.
