Ash opened her eyes and blinked a few times, half groggy. She had woken up when Haymich walked in, but didn't really feel the need to say anything. "..Hm?"
"Aw, come on, I'm not that scary looking!" Haymich said in a louder voice. He didn't quite know why he decided to help them. It was the first time he had felt any conviction for the past few months though, so it was worth a go.
Crane had begun bringing the bags he had prepared over to the others to be carried. He knew that the new arrival was simply trying to divert the attention that was outside, but he still felt the need to be unhelpfully bitter. All these cheery people were getting to him. "Even Sheridan is more frightening than you," he muttered, mostly to himself. He needed his toxin back, he realized, as he placed a bag beside Sheridan, who was rubbing her eyes, and half looking at the new man. The only way to bring anything back was to embrace the identity that some people actually feared, rather than the silent, hidden, painfully human identity he had been placed with when he ran. He used to be a man without a face, something to fear-- well, he would bring things back the way they were supposed to be, and he would do it in such a way that reminded Gotham why he was more frightening than a stalking drunkard.
Crane unceremoniously dropped a bag at the man's feet as well. "Make yourself useful."

Aleenya wondered for a moment if Haymich had maybe brought the police here, and then dismissed the idea. She picked up a few bags, silently thanking Crane for his annoyingly busy apparently useful foresight in packing everything up.

(They're both good at being annoying in such different ways.)
Unfortunately! Right at that moment, it appeared as some kind of human dam had broken, and tons and tons of mercenary/ninja/cops, or whatever they are I still really don't know its a mixture, started flooding in ready to capture anyone in the room. Some had already started shooting.
Haymich didn't much like the idea of being useful, in that moment, so he bolted, leaving the bag dropped in front of him behind.
Ash was on her feet, but hunched over at the sound of gunshots. Her eyes were wide in panic, and all she could think to do was clutch at the bags she was given.
I'm going to assume that they've all given themselves or whatever guns at this point, so that they're not out gunned. heh. So Crane began firing with his own gun, his face abnormally blanched. He barely even noticed the abandonment from their snitch.

"Ash, keep holding that and follow me," Aleenya said.
She decided, in that moment, to break her no-killing rule. There wasn't really a choice. It was self-defense.
She started shooting cops and ninjas, and ran towards one of the windows on the side of the building. She slammed her gun against the glass to break it open. "Come on!" she yelled to Aleenya and Crane. "Out this way!"
Jean, standing outside, saw the window break open. "Moss is at a window on the west side," she said into her radio.

Ash followed, as Aleenya said, and found herself out of the window in moments.
Crane made his way over as well, the abandoned bag from Haymich still abandoned. "You first," he snapped at Aleenya when he arrived, shooting another mercenary, surprisingly cleanly.

Aleenya climbed through the window, careful of the bits of sharp glass. She made it outside and looked around quickly, but there were not yet any cops in sight.

"Aleenya," Ash said on reflex when she saw Aleenya drop down. She had nothing else to say though, so she just said, "I'm scared."
Crane followed quickly behind Aleenya. "What are you doing just standing there, you idiot?" he snapped at whoever decided it applied to them.
Of course, due to Jean's warning, ninja cops were coming to get them outside the building too, and began making themselves known presently.

"Ash, fight!" Aleenya said. The words came out a little harsher than she'd intended because all of a sudden, there were so many ninjas.
She started shooting them.

Ash grimaced, and bit her lip. She began to shoot at any that came near her, and spotted Jean. She didn't know if it was fear or anger that she felt towards the familiar face, but she started, slowly, making her way towards her.
"If we can get out of their sight for just a second," Crane hissed, standing and shooting behind Aleenya. "There are less of them on my side."

Aleenya moved slowly towards him. "Ash,"she said. "Come towards us."

"What the hella У೦o○೦o○o does she think she's doing?" Crane growled, with another shot. "We have to get out of here."
Ash continued forward, however, towards Jean, mowing down anyone in her path. Soon, she was close enough. "Jean," she began, her expression closed.

Aleenya watched Ash, but didn't walk towards her.
"Sheridan," Jean said, and pointed her gun at Ash's head.

Ash didn't shoot her, or even look like she would. She did, however, shoot a different mercenary who started towards her. Her voice was equally devoid of emotion when she spoke. "How do I stop this?"
Crane spared a glance in Sheridan's direction before returning his attention to Moss. "There is an alleyway behind that officer," he murmured, just loud enough for her to hear.

Jean stepped towards her. Her eyes were pitying, but she had a job to do. "You let me arrest you," she said, still carefully holding the gun, "and then we can all stop fighting each other."
"Ash," Aleenya whispered back. "We have to wait for Ash."

"Just me?" Ash whispered, her voice almost cracking. A single, pleading look entered her eyes. "You would do that?"
"Grab her on the way," Crane hissed, already making his way over. In addition to his palid face, his hands were now beginning to shake. "It's behind the one she's talking to."
